Will Smith Wisdom & Tom Cruise Wackiness! Should you have a plan B?
I watched a video on youtube a while back of Will Smith spilling his pearls of wisdom. When we see someone who has created massive success in their lives it is a good idea to listen to what they have to say…unless maybe if it’s Tom Cruise talking! His wisdom can be quite difficult to decipher as he has been deeply steeped in the Scientology program which uses unusual words and terminology.
Anyhow back to Will Smith…Tom Cruise just popped into my head for a second as I do have a huge respect for his abilities and charisma, but he is a poor communicator and doesn’t connect well with most folks, so we shouldn’t necessarily listen to all succesful people…just the ones that can make sense of their success.
I didn’t understand how I had some of my successes when I was younger until I started studying psychology, human behaviour, universal laws and success principles.
One thing that rang true to me when I heard Will Smith talking was ” I don’t have a plan B because it distracts from plan A”!
When I heard that, I looked back at my life so far and realised that I have never had a plan B. I remember people often saying to me if a particular thing doesn’t work out then what would I do, but I never had an answer.
Some people think of this as being disorganised or not thinking things through, but like Will Smith having a plan B just doesn’t compute in my head. You could call this being optomistic and having a plan B as being pessimistic or maybe even realistic!
What is realistic to one person maybe unrealistic to another, so reality is really in the eye of the beholder! I don’t see myself as either an optomist or pessimist, although many people see me as an optomist, I am really not!
I am a realist and my reality dictates that if something doesn’t work out then another door will open. You see the Universe has it covered…the Universe has my back and so I don’t even have to think about it.
I have a dream and a vision and that is what I put my attention on. The idea of a back up plan seems ridiculous and nonsensical to me. I have no back up plan, no fall back on plan, I just dream big and do big!
Granted not everything works out, but given the life that I have lead so far this philosophy has worked out very well for me and I am only just getting started!
Do you think that Muhammad Ali had a back up plan if he didn’t cut it as a boxer? Or Richard Branson, or Tony Robbins or Will Smith given their chosen life plans? Of couse not…we wouldn’t know who any of those people were if they had a plan B, because when the going gets tough, if we have a plan B then it is just too tempting not to take it!!
What the most succesful people do is they fuse their identity with their dream and vision and then it becomes impossible for it not to happen. They do this by having a single focus, which over time knits their dream and vision with their reality and herein lies the greatest secret in the universe! Can I hear an AMEN? Thank you! 🙂
