Well that’s how it can feel when the world you have created falls apart. 😉

The majority of people in the modern world have their brains wired for consumerism and entertainment. This can be proved by looking at what the majority of people spend their money on once the necessities are taken care of.

There is nothing wrong with consumerism and entertainment but those that make it their primary reason for living and create their identity around it will never achieve true life fulfilment and will have a very hard fall if at some stage they lose everything.

Many will go through an existential crisis were they realise that what they thought was life is really absurd and meaningless.

But what else is there?

When we realise that there must be more to life than consumerism and entertainment, we go on a journey and if we are willing to step into the unknown we will discover what brings true life fulfilment.

What brings that deep inner fulfilment that so many secretly crave, is personal growth and adding value to the world.

The more we grow as an individual then the more we can add to others.

So when the tornado comes through town and flattens everybody’s houses, those that are primarily identified with consumerism and entertainment will be devastated and disempowered.

Those that are primarily focused on growth and adding value, will feel empowered as they will see the devastation as an opportunity for growth and to be of service to those that are feeling disempowered.

Those that are focused on growth and adding value will also experience much less fear as they are not so attached to the things on the outside which they have little control over. Instead they realise their internal reservoir of infinite potential, which can never be taken away and they know that they can always draw on that no matter what.

Todays power question: “Who would I be without all my stuff?” (include, job, status, belongings, reputation etc.)

Todays power statement: “Within me there is an infinite reservoir of resources and potential that I can draw on at anytime.”
