The Solution To All Your Problems!
The Solution To All Your Problems!
One of my tasks when coaching a client is to assist them in breaking down their old level of consciousness and to step into a new level of consciousness.
Some people are resistant and don’t want to let go of their old limiting beliefs and map of reality. They think that they can solve their problems with their current conscious awareness. But they can’t because that is what got them to were they are in the first place, and if they want to overcome their current set of problems then it is crucial to let go and step up.
It’s a brave step doing this and when you really want to transform your life in some way, you will muster the courage to take that step. It is actually a process of surrendering and being vulnerable.
Those two words are often associated with weakness, but in personal transformation they are what will allow you to access your greatest potential!
Your biggest breakthroughs will occur when you allow yourself to be vulnerable and surrender to the process.
I remember my biggest coaching breakthrough happened when I was being personally coached while on My NLP Master Practitioner course. My coach guided me to a breakthrough point using a technique called parts integration.
I started to become very irritated and told the trainer that I could only continue the session in private. He said a few magical words which broke down my resistance and I stayed in the room. 2 minutes later I was blubbering and crying.
It was so unexpected for me. It was like coughing up emotional fur balls that I didn’t know where down there. I must have had an unconscious fear of blubbering in front of people and that is why I got so irritated and wanted to leave the room, but I really had no idea that, that was the reason.
I notice metaphors all the time because that is how I am wired and as much as I found the last Batman movie a disappointment, there was a metaphor in part of it which demonstrates what I am talking about.
Bruce Wayne was imprisoned in this hell hole, in which only one person had ever escaped. The prison was underground and the only way out was to climb up a sheer wall. He was batman, so surely he could climb it!
He knew or at least assumed that his nemesis, Bane, had escaped this way, which made his frustration even greater—every time he climbed and fell. But he had a rope attached to him so he would be safe!
His mentor in the pit advised him that the reason he couldn’t climb out was because he was relying on the rope to save him and in a sense it was holding him to his past self.
At this point Bruce Wayne had his breakthrough and climbed out of the pit without any rope attached. The other inmates respecting his vulnerability and how he surrendered to the process all passionately cheered him on.
Todays power question: “What am I resisting, that if I surrendered to, would change everything”? (remember that you are asking your unconscious mind the question, so you don’t have to consciously come up with an answer, just keep asking the question and allow the answer to emerge.)
Todays power statement: “When I let go, I let flow and am guided to an even greater reality of possibility.”
