The Biggest Problem In The World Today – And How To Become 500 Times More Powerful…
The Biggest Problem In The World Today
On my weekend trip to Chicago for the Empower Network Event, I noticed a few things. From being both inside and outside of the event I discovered what I see as the biggest problem in the world today.
And not just the biggest problem in the world but at the same time the biggest solution to this problem. Quite often the solution is the opposite to the problem, but to know the solution we first must understand the problem, if you catch my drift.
The biggest problem in the world is people being disconnected from their heart. I have understood this for a long time but now and again it just gets reaffirmed to me on a deeper level.
The ego does not like to hear this. “It must be something on the outside of us that is the problem, it can’t be an internal error in the human system, can it”?
What I noticed from all the speakers on stage at the Empower Network Event, was that they were connected to and and coming from their heart, when they spoke to us. This was also the secret to their success and the reason why they had the right to be standing in front of 5000 people, and teach life success principles.
Many of them teared up while speaking and also bought much of the audience to tears. They cried tears of gratitude, compassion and appreciation. Their authenticity shone through and had a transformational effect on the audience.
Meanwhile outside of the event, there were some chaotic happenings taking place. Chicago had just experienced some of it’s worst floods in history. Stress levels were on an increase and I felt this as soon as I walked out of the airport the previous day. I walked straight into a heated argument between taxi drivers and airport parking staff.
But what really struck me was when I was walking from my hotel to the event venue. Directly opposite the complex, a man had pulled up on the side of the road in his car and ran over some wooded ground and jumped into a freezing river that had already burst it’s banks from the flood.
His chances were slim to say the least as there was a little snow on the ground and the current strong in the river. The first police car was on the scene in less than 30 seconds and then fire brigade and ambulance quickly followed, much to their credit!
I started talking to the parking lot attendants who had witnessed the whole thing. I was taken aback by their attitude as they were laughing and joking about it. One man even said that it was a waste of emergency services and they should just let him drown.
I observed their behaviour for a while and could see that they were completely dis-associated from it. Zero compassion for the man who’s life was probably so tormented and painful that he saw his only option to relieve the pain was to throw himself in a freezing river.
They did not think that this man may have a wife, children, parents, brothers and sisters. Maybe he had lost his job and been made homeless, or maybe his wife had just left him and taken the kids. These guys had become disconnected from their hearts at some stage in their life.
Maybe that is why they were parking lot attendants, and with that attitude could not become much more in life. They would certainly have no chance building a business with Empower Network anyway, because Empower Network is about people helping people.
It is said that the creative power of the heart is at least 500 times more than that of the head. This has become quite obvious to me now and whenever I have put my heart into anything, I have been successful at it. Success leaves clues and heart is a big one!
