Some people think that success just lands on other folks laps, but few realise the success secrets that go on behind closed doors.

There is no real secret to success, but it does come down to a few key principles and distinctions. Maybe the number 1 thing that successful people do that unsuccessful people don’t is, successful people do the things that they know they need to do even when they don’t feel like doing them.

It is easy to be successful when we are full of energy, on top form and everything is going well for us. We have all experienced this, but what about when the chips are down, when we have had a series of disappointments and our energy is in a deficit?

To be able to still get up and do what needs to be done under our own volition is what separates the successful from the mediocre. It is the daily training and work that goes on behind closed doors which develops and forges us onto greater things.

No one sees the late nights and early mornings, the hard slogs, the many failures and disappointments that creates a successful entrepreneur. The long hours of arduous sickening training, blood, sweat and tears which creates a super athlete.

The success secrets that go on behind closed doors would sicken most people and terrify others, but for those willing to invoke their warrior spirit, the warrior spirit that is in each of us, success is guaranteed.

When clients tell me their dream and what they want to do, I sometimes ask them “What are you NOT willing to do to realise your dream”? This often brings a confused look to their face, because it is not something that they have thought about previously.

Sometimes they react back with “Anything”! But is this true? So I continue to question. “Are you willing to lose everything, your house your car your job”? “Are you willing to move to the other side of the world”? “Are you willing risk your reputation and face ridicule and laughter”?

I ask these types of questions because for many great achievers have had to go through hardships such as these on their path to greatness. If you want mediocrity then that is fine, because that is most people. But if you want greatness then you have to be willing to risk everything that you already think you have.

All the above questions that I ask, I have also faced and overcome. For me it was just part of the course because my vision was so important and desirable to me.

If you feel you can’t answer “yes” to the above questions then you are either willing to settle for mediocrity and an unfulfilled life, or you simply haven’t clarified your vision and made it inspiring enough to move towards and actualize no matter what.
