Marlin Fish Sinks Fishing Boat – Badass Of The Week!

Just scanning my news feed on Facebook and I see these incredible pictures of a Marlin fish sinking a large fishing boat. Some people may feel sorry for the fishermen, but from my vegan standpoint, it brought a smile to my face and a feeling of pride for the fierce spirited fish that was Badass enough to capsize and sink a a boat that can be used for shark fishing.

The manufacturers of the boat defended the boats quality by saying that their boats have been used to catch hundreds of marlin with no problems which to me just makes this marlin in particular a serious Badass and worthy of the title, Badass of the week!

The manufacturer tried to blame it on human error and the boats captain said that a wave shook the boat and he slipped knocking it in full reverse. From the pictures it is clearly a calm sea and it is visibly a large marlin that is leaping around the boat and pulling it over.

The boat sank right to the bottom and the fishermen were rescued by a nearby boat and taken to shore with their tails between their legs. There were no injuries reported, just a few red faces and bruised ego’s.

In all seriousness, the seas and oceans are being raped and the sea life is dwindling. The actions of this marlin just go to show how much other species want to live. They obviously don’t think that they are here on Earth to end up on our dinner plate otherwise they would jump right into the boat.

They want to live just as much as we do and will fight tooth and fin to do so. As a kid, I loved the Moby Dick movie, as it was a whale that defied logic in its desire to live. No amount of harpoons could stop Moby Dick and with all the experience and technology fo the humans and their whaling ship they could not kill Moby Dick. In fact in the end Moby Dick killed all of them.

If no one has named this marlin fish then I am going to honour him or her with the title of Moby Dick. Badass of the week. Really, what a warrior spirit to take a out a boat and its crew just like that! Maybe it is just me but I find it inspirational, like a David and Goliath story or the Rocky movie, when against all odds the under dog wins!
