How To Overcome Embarrassment! Do You Think Jedi’s Get Embarrassed?

I literally don’t get embarrassed so I thought I maybe qualified to write a piece on how to overcome embarrassment. Through reading this you will also understand why Jedi’s don’t get embarrassed!

When I received inspiration to write this article I thought that I would do a google search entering the keywords “how to overcome embarrassment” and what I found was that all the other articles I skimmed through were mainly caught up in the program of embarrassment and attempting to demonstrate how to overcome embarrassment within the program of embarrassment.

Are you confused yet? Good, because confusion is a good indicator that you are about to learn something.

Embarrassment is a program that we gradually receive when growing up. I have an eighteen month old son and I observe his behaviour, and not once has he shown any signs of embarrassment.

So how will he know when to get embarrassed? Well, he will observe those around him and he will learn the word embarrassment and through social interaction will learn on what occasions he should express this emotion.

Embarrassment is programmed into each individual over time and that which can be programmed in can also be deleted from our own mind matrix. Remove the program!

Probably the most powerful way to rid ourselves of this very limiting program is to put our attention on living a life of service. You simply cannot become embarrassed when you are focused on serving others. The more you do this then the embarrassment program will begin to fade and eventually disappear.

The fear of embarrassment can hold us prisoner and in releasing it we liberate ourselves. It can stop us from being ourselves and living the life we would love to live. We stop ourselves from doing things with thoughts of “what if I make a mistake”? “What if people laugh at me”? “What if I look stupid”?

These thought patterns can easily be transmuted with every time a “What if” thought comes up, replace it with a “What if I don’t”. Simply replace the negative with it’s positive opposite!

Awareness is key, so just realise that embarrassment is not your natural state, only a conditioned response. You must learn to be able to laugh at yourself, allow your vulnerability to become your strength. Don’t take yourself so seriously, be light of heart and relax into life. Give up the need to be right, perfect and anything else that might limit your being.

Ask yourself this question every morning upon waking, “Who am I today and what grand and glorious adventures am I going to have?”

Give your unconscious mind the instruction to break down and delete the embarrassment program, as it does not serve your highest priority which is to serve!

Jedi’s don’t become embarrassed because they live  a life of service and have devolped their awareness through many years of mindful training, and that is how you overcome embarassment!
