Many people have an aversion to the word success, but maybe not as much as people have an aversion to the word money. To have an aversion to a word means that we have some negative associations to it.

Our negative associations are not the truth, they are only how we have interpreted certain things to mean. The question we must ask ourselves is, “How does the meaning I have given this serve me”? “Is there a meaning I could give this that would serve me on an even higher level”?

Many people go through life with an idea that they are unsuccessful, but I believe that we are born successful and anything after that is a bonus! Why? Because for us to have even been conceived we had to beat 300,000 other sperm to fertilise that egg. A born winner!

With all the various definitions we can find out there of what success means, what rings most true for me is the definition given by Earl Nightingale:

“Success is the progressive realisation of a worthy ideal”

If we are working towards a grander vision and learning and growing along the way then this is continued success after we are born. This means that everyone in the world can be successful…there are no losers and everybody wins!

Tony Robbins, the worlds number one peak performance coach defines what he calls ultimate success:

“Ultimate success is doing what you want, where you want, when you want with who you want as much as you want”

Of course to do this we would require a fairly high level of financial freedom, so we are no constrained or limited by costs.

In this day and age it is much easier to create this ultimate success, more so than in any time in known history. With the incredible resource of the internet, online marketing and point and shot ‘done for you’ companies, the playing field has been levelled.
