Do you care what people think of you? Why Jedi’s don’t care what people think of them!

It can be crippling to our live’s if we care what people think of us. Worrying about the opinions of others is a pointless exercise and can be very detrimental to our success in life. There is a very specific reason why Jedi’s don’t care what people think of them.

Many people want to please their parents and so they end up living by their parents values and beliefs and this is a type of suicide because they are never themselves. They don’t want to upset their parents or dissapoint them, but in doing so they upset their whole existence and all they have at the end of their life is regret.

Many people care what their peer group think of them and don’t expand past their peer groups expectations and so never raise their standards or reach new heights. It is this need to be liked which keeps us down and shrink wraps our potential into a limited reality.

The most insane of all is caring about what people think who we don’t know and will never meet.

I have found from coaching clients and studying behavioral psychology that caring what people think of us is one of the biggest roadblocks we put in the way of achieving our dreams in life.

Many people think that if we don’t care what people think of us then we don’t care about people, but the opposite is true. The more we care about people then the less we care what they think of us.

This is because what we focus on and the attitude we have to what we focus on becomes our reality. This is a profound understanding when we get it!

Do you know that the best public speakers are the ones that put their focus on serving their audience. Many people are afraid of public speaking because they have their focus on themselves and what people are thinking of them.

We stop caring what people think of us when we decide to live a life of service. We must have a cause that is bigger than ourselves and bigger than our ego. We want our ego to disappear in the shadow of our cause.

If you have a community cause as big as your town, then you won’t care so much what others think. If your cause is a global cause then you really won’t care what anyone thinks. If you have a cosmic cause that reaches out amongst the stars, then all fear disappears as you become one with the universe and everything.

The best way to serve yourself, everyone you come into contact with, the world and God is to simply be yourself. It is maybe the oldest piece of advice offered to those that are unsure of themselves… “just be yourself” and it is the wisest!

When you be yourself your heart sings and your spirit is peaceful. Choose a life of service, it is the lightest path and will allow you to be yourself and live your heartfelt dreams.
