Day 22 Walking The Camino De Santiago – Moratinos to Bercianos de Real Camino

Day 22 Walking The Camino De Santiago – Moratinos to Bercianos de Real Camino We woke up to a white winter wonderland this morning on The Camino De Santiago, or maybe we had stumbled headfirst into Narnia. Either way it all seemed very magical. The snow just stopped falling as we left ALbergue st Bruno in Moratinos. We had a lovely comfortable stay there and got to enjoy the underfloor heating, which kept us nice and cosy through out the…

Day 21 Walking The Camino De Santiago – Carrión de los Condes to Moratinos

Day 21 Walking The Camino De Santiago – Carrión de los Condes to Moratinos

Day 21 Walking The Camino De Santiago – Carrión de los Condes to Moratinos The Albergue that we stayed in, in Carrion De Los Condes was a convent run by nuns. Day 19 Walking The Camino De Santiago – Castrojeriz to Poblacion

Day 19 Walking The Camino De Santiago – Castrojeriz to Poblacion Wow, what a day this was! The Camino De Santiago really does have a mind of it’s own and I can see it testing us with all sorts of obstacles and challenges. The weather was unbelievable today, literally the biggest shifts in weather patterns that I have ever seen in one day. The Albergue in Castrojeriz was beautiful, it felt like a yoga centre and the hospitalero was a…

The Santiago Trail – Living It Up In Burgos – Day 16

The Santiago Trail – Living It Up In Burgos – Day 16

Walking The Santiago Trail in winter has it’s challenges. Toady the Camino wouldn’t let us walk. It had other ideas and wanted us to take the bus into Burgos and have a rest day. The rain was coming in sideways when we left the albergue in Villafranca and we had a mountain to walk over. I made the command decision to get the bus as the the weather was just to rough to be able to walk over a mountain…
