Camino De Santiago Day 25 Leon to Hospital De Orbigo
Camino De Santiago day 25 walking from the city of Leon to Hospital De Orbigo. Today we walked 30km along the Santiago trail. It wasn’t the prettiest walk and most of it was beside avery busy road, with trucks whizzing past every few seconds.
Not fun but worth it to get to Albergue Verde in Hospital De Orbigo. It is a beautiful Albergue with really cool people there. It is a vegetarian albergue and they fed us the best Vegan meal we had along the Camino de Santiago.
Okay, the truth about today was that it was really tough. I kind of pride myself on my ability to have control of my mind and not complain or blame, and to take responsibility for my reality.
But…I found myself complaining all day in my own head and out loud to Victoria. I just lost it and couldn’t seem to keep it in, even though I was observing myself doing it.
I felt frustrated and annoyed and I had clearly reached some sort of threshold, mentally and emotionally. It is at times like this when enlightenment still seems to be a far way off and I need to humble myself to the lessons of the Camino De Santiago De Compostela.
Enlightenment was once described to me by an Indian Guru, as when you are no longer perturbed by anything and you can witness the perfection in life. If we can rebalance ourselves to this state in less than 5 minutes after any event takes place then we can consider ourselves to have attained some degree of enlightenment.
Some people hold onto grievances their whole lives and so they could be seen as being far from enlightenment. Those that are able to recalibrate and realise the perfection are closer to enlightenment.
It is important to put ourselves in controlled streesses and pressures like walking the camino de Santiago de Compostela so that we can move closer to this idea of enlightenment were we are no longer perturbed by the events and everyday stresses of life.
So this is not some spiritual woo woo idea about enlightenment, it is practical and helpful for everyday life, so that we can progress spiritually and with everything that we do.
In personal development fields it is encouraged that we put ourselves outside our comfort zones on a daily basis and by doing this we expand our comfort zone and are able to handle and process more stress and respond in an empowered way in difficult situations.
We are vegans walking the Camino De Santiago with our 6 month old baby. Please continue to join us on our adventure. : )
P.S.We are able to take a month out to walk the camino as we earn a passive residual income online. Want to do the same? Just click below to find out more.
