The Missing Link in Personal Development!
The Missing Link in Personal Development!
Personal development is great, I love it, but sometimes in the past I have felt jaded by it all, disillusioned even. Then I found the missing link!
I have read all the books and been to all the seminars, in fact in the last 10 years I have invested well over one hundred thousand dollars in personal development, but there was one thing that was missing, one thing that because it was missing, I was missing out on the results that I knew I deserved.
Tony Robbins doesn’t talk about this, I know because I have been to all his seminars, read his books and listened to pretty much every single audio that he has ever made numerous times!
Napoleon hill doesn’t talk about this in his book “Think and Grow Rich” or in any of his audios, nor does Earl Nightingale, Jim Rohn or Brian Tracey. The Secret movie definitely doesn’t mention it either.
I knew that there had to be a missing link, because so many people weren’t getting the results that they deserved. I had been life coaching for many years and had clients all over the world, and while many of them got results beyond what anyone around them could have imagined, there was generally a lapse after our coaching relationship ended.
I would go to a seminar and feel like I had made all these different shifts at the event, raise my standards and learns amazing information, but many of my old habits and patterns started to creep back in after returning home from the seminar.
My frustration with all this with myself and my clients brought me to a place were I pondered possible solutions. I remembered back to a time when I was in The Royal Marines. The Royal Marines Commando’s have higher standards than any other military establishment in the world.
I remembered how in my 5 years of service, I achieved so much and got to have the most incredible experiences, which allowed me to grow in ways that I would never had done otherwise.
What did I have in the Royal Marines that I didn’t have in civilian life? The Royal Marines had a detailed plan for the next three years at all times, and everyday I knew exactly what I was doing because I just had to look at the notice board and see our DRO’s (daily routine orders).
The only thing that could really change this plan was an unexpected event like a war or conflict which might of seen us get shipped off at a moments notice.
What I was missing in civilian life was a detailed plan for the next three years and daily action steps to manifest this plan.
I then saw a documentary about Japanese Monks who would do a thousand days of ultra long walking through the mountains north of Kyoto. I was inspired by these Badass monks and taking what I learned through being a Royal Marines commando and years of personal development and coaching clients, the missing link appeared right before my eyes!
One Thousand Day challenge is the missing link in personal development. Armed with this tool, any personal development program out there can be successful. So many people go to a seminar, read a book, attend a retreat, listen to an audio course or get a coach for a little while, but what happens is that they slip into old patterns and habits again as I alluded to above.
The antidote to all this is a One Thousand Day Challenge. It is very simple. For 1000 days you commit to doing your six most highest priority action steps which will bring you to manifest the highest vision you can imagine for yourself.
Get crystal clear on your vision and then work back to the 6 things you need to do every day to actualize this in your life. Get a big thick writing pad and write out your DRO’s everyday and do them no matter what. Get an accountability partner to do it with you and hold each other accountable to doing it every day for 1000 days.
It is important to reward yourself, so treat yourself after 30 days and then again after every 100 days with some sor tof luxury that you value. It might be a day at a 5 star spa with full treatments or something else.
If you have been struggling to get it all together then you know you need to start this One Thousand Day challenge today. You owe this to yourself. Take action Now!
