Don’t Quit – The Only Way To Have No Regrets In Life + Eric Worre Secret
Persistance is said to overcome all things. Sometimes we need to change our approach, but with the mindset of keeping going and not even entertaining the idea of quitting we can more fully realise our potential.
Single mindedness is a fantastic trait to develop in ourselves. It is something that we often have as a child and then we get reprogrammed growing up.
Single mindedness overcomes the condition of quitting. My best example of this was when I joined the Royal Marines Commando’s. It was clear to see who was going to make it and who wasn’t. The ones that quit were those that had a plan B.
As I conversed with the other recruits in my troop, some of them told me of how, if this didn’t work out for them, what they were going to do. Some had jobs to go back to, some had a family business to go into, some said that they would join the fire brigade or the police.
I didn’t have a plan B. For me there was nothing else. Don’t get me wrong, there were plenty of jobs I could do and I was even offered a position as an apprentice jeweller from a family friend, just before I joined the Royal Marines. So I did have other options, but I wasn’t willing to entertain them because they would only be a distraction from what I was here to do.
It became apparent, and all those that talked about what if they didn’t make it, or if it didn’t work out, actually manifested their plan B. For most of those that were of a single mind and didn’t entertain quitting, didn’t.
When other recruits asked me what I would do if I didn’t make the grade, nothing came to me, my mind was blank. For me, the script had been written and I was just acting out the part.
There is an interview with Jonathan Budd and Eric Worre. Budd asks Worre what his secret to success in Network marketing is?
Eric said that when he first started out, he was at an Amway event I think it was. He plucked up the courage to approach one of the leaders who was making millions every year. Worre asked him what he needed to do to get in the top 5% of the income earners in that room.
Eric Worre was expecting some convoluted answer from this network marketing guru. the guy said “Do you see all 800 people in this room…last month there were a few hundred that aren’t here tonight. the month before that there were a few hundred less. Next month there will be a few hundred less. The top 5% are those that keep coming back and keep doing the business everyday.”
It was Mark Twain who said, “At the end of our life we will regret more the things that we didn’t do than the things we did do”
Keep going, don’t quit and then you will never have any regrets!
