Sometimes all it takes to transform failure into success is a shift in perception.

When things in life don’t seem to be going our way, then we can get quite down and sometimes spiral out of control. I have been in that place, especially when my marrigae broke up over a decade ago. And then it seemed like a domino effect of bad things happening to me.

I was at a place in my life where I wanted to die. I felt dead anyway, and if you were to ask me to describe exactly how I was feeling well I just felt numb. It was like my life force had left me and all there was left was an empty shell.

That was actually a great thing because then I could fill that empty shell with whatever I wanted to…and I chose well.

A friend recommended a book to me called “Awaken the Giant Within” By Tony Robbins. I bought and read the book and soaked it up like a man who had just crossed a desert would a glass of water. I underlined segments and re-read many parts.

This book shifted my perceptions and outlook on life. I then got hold of Tony Robbins “Get The Edge” audio program. I listened to it over and over again, in my car, at home at work, because by this time I had been so empowered by the book that I had left my job and started my own business.

My friends and family thought that I had gone nuts and was being brainwashed by this loud mouth American huckster guru. The truth was that my brain needed a good washing as what was in there already wasn’t really working for me to well, so I welcomed the brain washing.

Then next step was to go and see Tony Robbins in person, so that is what I did. I found out about his live events and I went to his “Unleash The Power Within” (UPW) event in London. I received a really good brain washing here (I say this slightly with tongue in cheek), and when I left that event life was never the same again.

The book was powerful, the audios even more powerful and the event just lit me up like a Christmas tree.

Within this little story is the three keys to transforming failure into success and it is powerful. it took a man who felt dead inside and wanted to actually be dead to a place of love, gratitude and prosperity!
