The Santiago Trail – Living It Up In Burgos – Day 16

The Santiago Trail – Living It Up In Burgos – Day 16

Walking The Santiago Trail in winter has it’s challenges. Toady the Camino wouldn’t let us walk. It had other ideas and wanted us to take the bus into Burgos and have a rest day.

The rain was coming in sideways when we left the albergue in Villafranca and we had a mountain to walk over. I made the command decision to get the bus as the the weather was just to rough to be able to walk over a mountain with a baby and the basic clothing and equipment that we had.

A couple of young Korean guys also hopped the bus with us as well. Driving over the mountain there was a fair bit of snow on the ground and the winds even stronger than when we were in Villafranca so we were glad to have taken the bus.

Burgos is an awesome city to visit and we had a great day off. The Albergue in Burgos is new and very modern. We were given a whole floor to ourselves by the hospitalero as we had a baby. We found a vegan restaurant called Gaia that served some of the best vegan food we have ever tasted. We also treated ourselves to massages, which were much needed and enjoyed. How does it get any better than that?

“How does it get any better than this” is a question that I ask myself numerous times everyday. Sometimes I say it out loud to people and they reply with “It doesn’t”. These people don’t understand the communication of the universe.

Questions open us up to possibilities and what we focus on expands. Most of us have heard the saying, “where attention goes, energy flows”, and it really does! SO when I say “how does it get any better than this” I am open to the possibility of things getting even better. If I were to say “It doesn’t get any better than this” I am closing off the Possibility of things getting better.

Statements can be limiting, but well asked questions are limitless, and allows us to step into the field of infinite possibilites. The Universe responds to our questions, So it is important to have conscious awareness of what we are asking for.

“Why does it always have to happen to me” is one of the worst most disempowering questions that I hear people ask a lot. It is victim mentality and the Universe will show no mercy in answering, “because you are an idiot”. But if that question were simply replaced with “How does it get any better than this” or “what other lighter possibilities might I step into” then lives are transformed!

The greatest miracle we have is to be able to shift our perceptions, for it is our perception that creates our seeming reality. To shift our perception we must shift our focus or our perspective. The number one way to do this is to ask empowering questions. It is as marvellous and simple as that.

Successful people simply ask better questions. “How may I serve” Ask that one first hing in the morning before getting out of bed and success in life is guaranteed.

Some people wonder how we are able to keep walking along the Santiago Trail, with a baby and heavy backpack in the winter. The secret is in the questions I consistently ask myself as I walk. Buen Camino.

P.S.We are able to take a month out to walk the camino as we earn a passive residual income online. Want to do the same? Just click below to find out more.
